Who are Salloways Jewellers
Founded in 1871, Salloways is a high value family jewellers based in Lichfield and is an established name within Staffordshire. Salloways has a proven reputation for providing its customers with the best diamond, gold and silver jewellery as well as fine Swiss watches
Before replacing their customer entrance, the Lichfield store was operating with a door that was more than 20 years old – the magnetic locks were unreliable and staff had to open and close the door by hand due to excessive wear, this therefore deemed the door unfit for purpose. Due to the nature of the business, the door was no longer at a security level needed by Salloways and created reasons for concern as to the safety of the premises, staff and their customers.
After a recommendation from his insurer T H March, we were approached by Nigel Salloway, Managing Director of Salloways Jewellers to deliver a bespoke security solution that not only provided his premises with the highest levels of security, but that fit in with the architectural structure of the building and maximised the full shop floor potential.
Warrior appreciate that all high value retail premises have their own set of unique requirements for both safety and aesthetics, so our security experts organised a meeting with Nigel Salloway to fully understand the brief and to evaluate their current security standard. The outcome was that Warrior would design and install a bespoke interlocking sliding security door system, which would provide Salloways with the highest level of security whilst complementing the aesthetics of the building.
Their current situation was far from ideal, so we worked hard and fast to fully design, manufacture and install the whole entry system within just 6 weeks.
In addition to the maximum safety any Warrior Door offers, the successful installation has provided Salloways staff and customers with a hassle free entrance that projects more light into the store and also maximises the shop floor space. Salloways can have peace of mind that at the end of the day, their stock is protected behind a highly secure door that has been tested to LPCB Loss Prevention Standard 127 and features glazing that has been tested to LPS 1270 SR3 glass standard – all of which have been tried and tested in real raids and attacks and have come out still fit for purpose.
